Vehicle owner responsibilities:
Vehicle owner must properly use, maintain and care for the vehicle as outlined in the Flyscooters owners manual. Owner of the unit must service and maintain the vehicle according to the Service Schedule and Record Sheet in order to maintain the warranty. Any warranty repairs must be performed ONLY by authorized Flyscooters dealers. Any warranty work done by an unauthorized Flyscooters dealer without prior authorization from Flyscooters will not be covered by the warranty. Periodic service and inspections are considered regular maintenance and are not covered under warranty.
Warranty Specifics:
The warranty is for a period of one year (365 days) from the date of purchase at an authorized Flyscooters Dealer. The warranty and roadside assistance is null and void if not properly registered by the buyer at http://flyscooters.com/support/warranty-registration within 7 days of purchase by the buyer.
Flyscooters warrants all parts of the vehicle except those specified under the heading “Warranty Exclusions”. This warranty covers any repairs needed to correct the defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. Incidental and consequential damages are not covered. Flyscooters covers parts only during the warranty time period with the exception of the first 60 days.
Warranty Claims:
Vehicle owners must properly use, maintain and care for the vehicle as outlined in the Flyscooters owner’s manual. The owner must service and maintain the vehicle according to the Service Schedule and Record sheet in order to keep this warranty active.
Labor:
Labor portion of the warranty is backed by authorized Flyscooters dealers If you repair your vehicle at non-Flyscooter dealers or repair centers, expect to pay for the labor portion of the service.
Warranty Exclusions:
Flyscooters will not warrant any cosmetic damage after the point of sale. The following wear and tear parts are also excluded from the Flyscooters Warranty: Spark plugs, All cables, Drive chains, Air cleaner elements, Brake pads, All Light bulbs, battery, fuse, tires, all oil or water based fluids and coolants, contact points, all filters, tubes, gaskets, rubber cushions, and grommets.
Periodic Maintenance:
Failure to fully comply with the periodic maintenance requirements as set forth in the owner’s manual will void this warranty.
Any damage which results from the following are not covered by the warranty:
Unauthorized repairs, adjustments or maintenance operations by any methods other than those specified by the owner’s manual, hard driving due to a race, rally, or operation in a location not suited for the use of product(s) as specified by the manufacturer, use beyond the limitations specified in the Owner’s Manual such as overloading the vehicle, or damage from use under abnormal conditions, when the product is used as a rental vehicle or for commercial purposes, use of non-genuine parts, accessories, fuel, lubricants and liquids, modifications made to the product, passage of time (natural fading of painted surfaces, plated surfaces, sheet peeling and other deterioration), improper storage and/or transportation, repairs, services and/or inspections performance by any person or company other than a Flyscooters dealer, unavoidable disasters (eg. collision, theft, etc.) or natural disasters (eg. tornado, tsunami, hurricane, flood, etc.).
Incidental or additional expenses incurred for making any claims such as those for towing, communications, hotels and meals, as well as any losses during maintenance period, such as loss of time, loss of business and rental car expenses are not covered. Scheduled periodic services and inspections are not covered.
Additional addendums:
In the case that you cannot or will not take the vehicle back to the dealer who sold you the vehicle for service, then you have to shoulder labor portion of the warranty. Flyscooters will not be responsible to labor portion of the service bill.
All service and repair work, warranty related or not, must be done at dealer level. Flyscooters does not conduct any troubleshooting or repair work directly with the customer. Dealers are our sole agent representing us in matters of sales and service nationwide. If you have any problem, please contact your local dealer directly. Roadside Assistance:
Roadside Assistance is not valid until the customer has received the roadside assistance package via mail. The One Year Roadside Assistance service is provided by Rider Rescue, a third party service provider. If you need assistance with towing or any other service that is covered under the rider rescue plan, please contact them directly at 1-866-518-6468. Flyscooters will not be able to provide those services. Details of the program are explained in attached Road Side Assistance Program.
All units must be registered within 7 days of sale or roadside assistance for the unit is void.
A. 24-Hour Toll-Free Emergency Roadside Assistance
Service is available throughout the United States and Canada, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Member simply calls the toll-free number provided and service is dispatched to their location for the road services needed. Coverage is provided to the scooter registered with Road America as the Covered Vehicle.
1. Towing
When towing is necessary, the Member’s Covered Vehicle will be towed to the nearest qualified service facility or to another location requested by the Member for up to fifteen (15) miles at no expense to the Member. Any costs for towing service in excess of fifteen (15) miles must be paid by the Member directly to the ISP at the time services are rendered.
2. Battery Service/Vehicle Won't Start
If a battery failure occurs, a jump start will be applied to start the Member’s Covered Vehicle or to tow the Covered Vehicle if battery assistance is not available or successful.
3. Flat Tire Assistance
Towing assistance will be provided to tow the Covered Vehicle to the nearest qualified service facility.
4. Fuel, Oil, Fluid and Water Delivery Service
An emergency supply of gasoline, oil, fluid and water will be delivered to any Covered Vehicle in immediate need.5. Lock-out Assistance - Provides assistance with unlocking the Covered Vehicle’s compartments in the event the keys are lost or locked inside. Towing assistance will be provided if necessary.
6. Extrication Assistance - Provides assistance with extricating a Covered Vehicle when stuck in a ditch or other inaccessible area, when such location is within 50 meters of a paved road or highway. This service does not cover extrication or winching when the Member is intentionally riding the covered scooter off-road or on other unpaved services.
2. Non-covered Items:
The following items are not included as covered Standard Benefits and Services:
1. Cost of parts, replacement keys, fluids, lubricants, or fuel, cost of installation of products, material, and additional labor relating to towing.
2. Non-emergency mounting or removing of any tires, snow tires, or chains. Tire Repair at any location other than the disablement site. Any Covered Vehicle used for racing or for commercial purposes. Any and all taxes, or fines. Damage or disablement due to fire, flood, or vandalism.
3. Towing from or repair work performed at a service station, garage or repair shop. Service on a vehicle that is not in a safe condition to be towed. Non-emergency towing or other non-emergency service. Impound towing or towing by other than an authorized service provider, except as noted below; vehicle storage charges; a second tow. Towing or service on roads not regularly maintained, such as sand beaches, open fields, forests, and areas designated as not passable due to construction, etc. Towing at the direction of a law enforcement officer relating to traffic obstruction, impoundment, abandonment, illegal parking, or other violations of law.
4. Coverage shall not be provided in the event of emergencies resulting from the use of intoxicants or narcotics, or the use of the Covered Vehicle in the commission of a felony.5. Repeated service calls for a Covered Vehicle in need of routine maintenance or repair. Only one service call for the same service type will be indemnified for any seven day period. Private citizen's assistance is not covered and is not reimbursable. Service obtained through any source other than Road America. This is not a reimbursement program.
